Here's our first Malia, this one has its original tag, hardly worn. A pretty hostess maxi perfect for this coming summer.
Vintage Malia Hawaiian Hostess Maxi Dress- This dress is by Malia very popular in the 60-70s. This one is from the late 60s to early 70s. The dress is a cotton ribbed fabric, very thick indeed. This dress is very wearable, I found one flaw. It is easy to clean, no dry cleaning can be washed and steamed. These dresses are great collector's items in the vintage world, and are highly sought after. It is done as a long hostess maxi style, with a halter bodice that ties on the back. The pattern is of abstract tropical flora and fauna of the 60s 70s" A Hawaian dreamscape." The colors are bright fuchsia -hot pink, white and green, it is a raised fabric, empire waist, and an A-line cut. This dress has built in support demi cups, not removable. It has a nylon hidden zipper, hook and eye closure. It does have one flaw, I located a pen mark on inside of the built in bra, no discoloration it was stored away, no tears or holes other than the price tag and store tags that may cause a hole, because they were never removed. A very fun flirty dress for Spring/Summer .
Measurements- Bust-36-38 - Waist 32- some stretch- Hips- full- 40- Length- 51- empire waist rides high on the ribcage.
Here's some articles about Malia that I located on Google News Archives from 1960s , 1974 and lastly 1981.

The second Malia is from the late 60s early 70s, what you would call a maxi hostess dress. Perfect for an Hawaiian party. This one is damaged with spots of rust on the hemline, it will need a good spot cleaning with Carabona stain removal for rust.,or the entire dress could be shorten, still a beauty.Done in a thick combed cotton , and fully lined.
