Summer 70s Sundress Perfect for Seeing Jaws

Summer is nearly here, hooray! The weather in my neck of the woods is quite nice, it's definitely time to think about wearing cooler, light weight dresses. I'm going to see the 70s flick Jaws this summer , so I plan to wear something like this dress to the movie. Easy to style with, just throw on some 70s strappy sandals and add a  bright colored 70s scarf for your hair and you 'll be looking pretty 70s sexy. If you prefer to wear your dress a'la 1950s movie star look, just add a puffy crinoline , a patent leather belt with black heels and you've created a fun retro 50s style .

  Yes, here's the original movie poster, scary huh...naw remember it's only a mechanical shark, but what a fun summer movie oh and don't forget to bring the kids.

80s Does 50s Hawaiian Skirt

 Here's my very own vintage skirt, gosh I loved wearing this to Viva years ago. I have decided to part with it, so someone else can enjoy it and they will. It is a large so many sizes can fit it, tons of stretch to this little beauty.

A Fabulous Christian Dior Couture Dress Found In Seattle

SOLD !!! 70s 80s Vintage Mexican Wedding/ Fiesta Gown just listed

SOLD!!!   This dress is perfect for that summer wedding or wear it boho style with boots and dress it up. What a fun dress!

Maker: unknown-  has size tag marked 16 not true size

Fabric: ecru and brown cotton  blend- no fabric tag

Features: Long gown/ maxi, not lined need a slip, strapless style, fitted waist, metal zipper in back,  has tiers of lace, satin ribbon, and yarn embroidery

Measurements- bust  30 flat stretches to a 38 not much more, it does have an elastic gathering on the halter-waist 30 to 30.5 nearly a 32 but tight-hips free- length -55 no hem

Condition- In great vintage condition, but it does have two dots one on the inner bodice under the flap, cannot see when worn. The other mark in the back lower skirt on the outside and yes you can see it when wearing, not bad but it's there. The dress is fresh and ready to wear.

 Not true color of dress, ecru white is the the true color.

The Astronaut Wives Club

     This summer I have something to look forward to - the Astronaut Wives Club it premieres June 18 on ABC at 8pm.  The costume designer Eric Daman has picked some beauties to drool over, and yes I have some in my closet right now. Lucky me to be a vintage dealer! The perks of selling vintage is that you have the pick of the crop when it comes to dresses. I have two or three floral dresses like the icy blond in the show, that I might wear today! It's going to be in the 70s near Seattle, so its summer dress season. I have put away my shorts and got out all my light 50s summer dresses to wear around town. I figured if I'm not really on Etsy anymore and sales are slow, why not wear my beauties, you only live once.

Here are some of the images that have surfaced on the internet on this show, I'm sure there's going to be more bloggers with better pictures , so watch out for them. I hope this show is a hit! I'm so excited for the premiere.

Measurements: Skirt- waist measured flat 26- stretches to 32 or more-length -26 hips 38 some stretch-

Sweater- bust 36 flat some stretch-length 20- shoulders-17 arms 23 -inner arm 17-

Condition: In great vintage condition, the gold ribbon threading is coming loose needs to be sewn back into place at sometime, and there's a small faded area on the back, I can send you more photos. I reached my photo limit.

Megan Draper's Hat Very Similar To Mine!

   The actress that plays Megan Draper is wearing a summer hat almost like mine. Both hats are floppy,  but mine has a ribbon and a small flat  bow. I love when I find  Mad Men costumes or props similar to theirs in my personal collection, now that's cool beans. Wish I had her fruit beach dress. I wonder who made that? My search continues....
